What are serious bone problems?

When your bones are weakened by cancer, you are at risk for serious bone problems, which are:

Serious bone problems may be unexpected and disrupt the things you are planning for, so it is important to look for signs and symptoms early.

Watch out for common symptoms of a serious bone problem, including:

  • Pain
  • Sudden, severe pain that prevents movement
  • Difficulty urinating
  • Constipation
  • Lack of bowel or bladder control
  • Numbness
  • Weakness
  • Paralysis
